WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 23, 2023–Germany, led by the team’s sole Small Tour combination of Frederic Wandres on Harrods, was the clear leader at the midway point of the CDIO3* Nations Cup Thursday with the United States standing second and Sweden thirdWELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 23, 2023–. The mixed Small and Big Tour competition of teams representing six countries kicking off the first event in the trans-Atlantic series will be decided Friday.

The standings after the first day of Prix St. Georges and Grand Prix: 1. Germany 217.940; 2. USA 214.617; 3. Sweden 206.707; 4. Canada 204.689; 5. Australia 197.787, and 7. Argentina 190.425.

South Korea’s Dong Seon Kim began warming up Bohemian to compete as an individual in the Nations Cup less than a month since he bought the Danish Olympic team horse. The horse was clearly not ready to deal with the atmosphere and heat following transportation from Europe to the U.S. and three changes of stables since then and was withdrawn.
