Charlotte Dujardin reported Sunday she is pregnant with her first child, a girl, with longtime partner Dean Golding.
“To all of my followers and friends who have supported me for years,” the 37-year-old Charlotte reported on her Facebook page, “…some special news tonight.
“In early 2023, myself and Dean will be expecting our first child and our hearts are already full of more love than we thought possible.
“A new chapter in our journey will begin; one that we have always hoped for, and we cannot wait to welcome our little girl into the world.
“I just hope she already knows how much she has been wished for and how much love awaits her, from ourselves and our excited families.”
Charlotte is Britain’s most successful dressage rider. Historic Olympic team and individual gold on Valegro at the London Games in 2012, followed by team silver and individual gold on Valegro at Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and team and individual bronze on Gio at Tokyo. She also has numerous world, World Cup and European Championship medals, most recently team silver on Imhotep at the world championships in Herning, Denmark earlier this month.
