Spain’s dressage team for the world championships was announced Tuesday, three of four horses are PRE.
The team is:
Daniel Martin Dockx, 48 years old, and Malagueño LXXXIII, 12-year-old PRE gelding, owned by Francisco Santiago Ruiz
Jose Antonio Garcia Mena, 41, and Divina Royal, 12-year-old Hanoverian mare, owned by Jose Ignacio Diaz Bravo
Alejandro Sanchez del Barco, 29, and Quincallo de Indalo, 11-year-old PRE stallion, owned by José Luis Martín Lorca
Teia Hernandez Vila, 38 , and Romero de Trujillo, 11-year-old PRE gelding, owned by Sabas Trujillo.

Borjas Carrascosa Martinez and Laponia
Agusti Elias Lara and Altaneiro BCN
The three PRE horses matches the previous high number of three at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky where a star of the event was Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz and his PRE stallion Fuego.
Daniel Martin Dockx is one of the top sport riders on the team having competed for Spain the PRE stallion Grandioso, owned by American Kimberly van Kampen based in Ocala, Florida, at the Olympics in London in 2012 and Rio de Janeiro in 2016, as well as the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France in 2014 and the 2013 and 2015 European Championships. On Malagueño, he was on the Spanish team at both the 2021 and 2022 Nations Cup teams at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany.
Jose Antonio Garcia Mena and Divina Royal competed at the Tokyo Olympics as well as last year’s European Championships. He rode on Spain’s team at the 2010 Kentucky and 2014 Caen World Equestrian Games as well as the 2013 and 2015 European Championships.
Alejandro Sanchez del Barco is new at top sport with Quincallo de Indalo his first Big Tour mount. The pair began their international competition partnership when the horse was aged five in 2016 and began Grand Prix just four months ago and competed on Spain’s Nations Cup team team in Aachen, Germany two weeks ago.
Teia Hernandez Vila and Romero de Trujillo competed at the World Young Horse Championships in 2018 but Herning, Denmark will be the rider’s first international team championship.
