Eight riders and 10 horses were named to the American short list for European competitions ahead of selection of the U.S. team of four combinations for the world championships in Herning, Denmark in August.

Primary competitions are the CDIO5* Nations Cup at Rotterdam, Netherlands June 23-26 and the CDIO5* Nations Cup/CDI4* at Aachen, Germany June 28-July 3.

The combinations named by the U.S. Equestrian Federation Wednesday are:

Katie Duerrhammer of Greenwood Village,Colorado and Quartett, 14-year-old German Sport Horse gelding

Katie Duerrhammer and Paxton, 11-year-old Westfalen gelding. Both horses are owned by Kyle Louriee

Ben Ebeling of Moorpark, California and Illuster van de Kampert, 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, owned by ACR Enterprises, Inc.

Ben Ebeling and Indeed, 14-year-old Danish Warmblood mare, owned by Vantage Equestrian

Ashley Holzer of Wellington and Valentine, 12-year-old Hanoverian mare, owned by Ashley

 

 

 

 

 

 

Charlotte Jorst of Reno, Nevada and Kastel’s Nintendo, 19-year-old KWPN stallion, owned by Kastel Denmark

Adrienne Lyle of Wellington, Florida and Salvino, 15-year-old Hanoverian stallion, owned by Betsy Juliano LLC

Steffen Peters of San Diego, California and Suppenkasper, 14-year-old KWPN gelding, owned by Four Winds Farm and Akiko Yamazaki

Alice Tarjan of Oldwick, New Jersey and Serenade MF, 9-year-old American-bred Hanoverian mare, owned by Alice

Sarah Tubman of Wellington and First Apple, 12-year-old KWPN stallion, owned by Summit Farm
