HERNING, Denmark, Mar. 6, 2020–Cathrine Dufour rode Bohemian to a personal best score above 83% to win the Danish Warmblood Stallion Show CDI5* Grand Prix Friday while second and third placings were a close fought battle of Danish mares.

Cathrine and Bohemian, a 10-year-old Westfalen gelding scored 83.043%, a sliver higher than the previous best of 83.022% at this same venue last October.

Cathrine is ranked No. 5 in the world on her 2016 Olympic mount Cassidy and 28th on Bohemian that she has ridden on three Nations Cup teams for Denmark in the past two years.

Fellow Dane Carina Cassøe Krüth rode Heiline’s Danciera, a nine-year-old Danish mare, to a personal best 76.413% for second place.

Spain’s Severo Jurado Lopez rode Fontini, a 10-year-old Danish mare, to third place on 76.283%.

This was only the third Big Tour Grand Prix for both mares that competed at the World Young Horse Championships as five, six and seven-year-olds, a year apart.

Carina and Danciera placed fourth in the world championships as a five year old and again two years later at the age of seven in 2018, but 14th as a six-year-old.

Severo and Fiontini were champions of the five, six and seven year-old divisions.
