GEESTEREN, Netherlands, June 23, 2019–Holland’s World Equestrian Games team partnership of Emmelie Scholtens and Apache won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday while Hans Peter Minderhoud on Zanardi took the Freestyle.
Emmelie and the 14-year-old KWPN stallion that also competed at the World Cup Final in April scored 74.085% for the win.
Diederik van Silfhout also of the Netherlands was second on Expression with 73.447% with Sweden’s Juliette Ramel and Wall Street JV third on 73.170%.
Hans Peter and Zanardi, a 15-year-old KWPN stallion, were awarded 78.725% for the musical performance and the first Big Tour victory for the pair since their debut Grand Prix in November, 2015.
Adelinde Cornelissen on Zephyr was second on 78.510%, a personal best for the Dutch pair and a day after the duo posted their highest CDI Grand Prix result.
Denise Nekeman of the Netherlands and Boston Sth were third on 76.365%.
