CALEDON, Ontario, July 21, 2018–Megan Lane rode Zodiac MW to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday to qualify a second mount for the Canadian team for the World Equestrian Games while Diane Creech improved her chances of a place with Diana C.
Megan and the 14-year-old Zodiac scored 69.913 per cent for the win.
Diane Creesh and Diana C, an 11-year-old Hanoverian mare, scored 69.435 per cent for second place.
Megan had already qualified her Olympic and 2014 World Games mount, Caravella, as had Brittany Fraser on All In as the top finishing team contender, and Jill Irving on Degas. None of the three competed here as the last qualifying competition.
According to the standings before this show, Brittany and All In were at No. 1, Megan and Caravella No. 2, Jill and Degas No. 3.
Belinda Trussell on Tattoo were standing fourth but their result of 63.630 per cent here may have impacted their chances.
Ellesse Tzinberg who rides for the Philippines placed third on Triviant on a score of 67.413 per cent that qualified the duo for the WEG.
