NICE, France, Mar. 2, 2018–Austria’s Ulrike Prunthaller took the top two places–first with Quebec and second on Duccio–in the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday, logging personal best scores on both horses.
On Bartlgut’s Quebec, 11-year-old German Sport Horse stallion, Ulrike scored 72.848 per cent for the victory with Bartlgut’s Duccio, a 13-year-old Austrian Warmblood stallion, placing second on 72.130 per cent.
Ulrike began competing Quebec at Big Tour in April, 2017 and Duccio in September, 2015.
Russia’s Evgenija Davydova on Awakening was third on 71.543 per cent.
The Germany-based Australian Briana Burgess riding Sissi in only the second Big Tour event placed fourth on 69.261 and log the first qualifying score in their campaign to go to the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina in September.
