MANNHEIM, Germany, May 2, 2015–Sweden’s Rose Mathisen and Zuidenwild won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special in only the second international Big Tour show for the pair.

“I am overjoyed,” Rose said after winning on a score of 72.090 per cent. “That was a real shock in a positive way.”

Germans Uta Gräf on Dandelion OLD was second on 70.549 per cent and Stefanie Weihermüller on Wunderkind third on 70.275 per cent.

Rose and the 11-year-old KWPN stallion began their international Big Tour career together less than a month ago.

The 55-year-old rider who was reserve rider of the Swedish team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and operates a dressage and breeding stable in Engelsholm, said: “I know that he has a lot of quality, but that he can implement it so quickly at a tournament… ”
