ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, June 19, 2014–Charlott-Maria Schürmann and Burlington FRH launched their international Under-25 campaign with a win in the Intermediate II at the Rotterdam CHIO Thursday with German combinations taking the top two places.

The 21-year-old Charlott-Maria who on Burlington was the youngest ever winner of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal for developing horses in 2012, won their debut U-25 event with 72.553 per cent over fellow German Nadine Husenbeth and Florida 94 in second on 71.474 per cent and the Netherlands’ Danielle van Mierlo and Ucento third on 70.526 per cent.

Charlott-Maria, who is majoring in business at college, and the 11-year-old Hanoverian stallion (Breitling W x Rohdiamant) won team gold and two individual silver medals at the 2012 European Young Rider Championships. The pair have sown lightly in the past 18 months with a CDI Grand Prix competition in Holland in April.

Edward Gal and Glock’s Voice followd up their win in the CDI3* Grand Prix by taking the Special on a score of 76.745 per cent with Diederik Van Silfhout on Arlando NH N.O.P. second on 76.314 per cent and Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Flirt in third on 72.118 per cent, the same placings as the Grand Prix ednesday.
