WELLINGTON, Florida, Nov. 22, 2013–The Palm Beach Dressage Derby move has been approved to join the lineup of seven CDIs in the Adequan Global Dressage Festival winter circuit with a total of $530,000 in prize money
The event that 30 years ago was a foundation competition on the Florida winter dressage circuit in tandem with the world famous Winter Equestrian Festival will be a World Cup event scheduled for Feb. 29 to Mar. 2. Three other World Cup qualifiers are in lineup of the six CDIs owned by the GDF organization.
The event is owned by Mary Anne McPhail who decided to move the derby to Wellington from her Equestrian Estate show grounds in neighboring Loxahatchee to insure its long term viability.
