HAGEN, Germany, May 9–Anabel Balkenhol and her Olympic mount Dablino FRH won the German Dressage Derby Grand Prix in Hamburg Thursday and also took the second spot with Diamonds Forever that she started at CDI Grand Prix just three weeks ago.

Anabel and Dablino, a 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding (De Niro x Wanda x Wanderbusch II), scored 74.894 per cent for the victory while Diamonds Forever, an 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Depardieu x Wadissea x Warkant) was runnerup on 72.149 per cent.

Fellow Germans Fabienne Lütkemeier and Qui Vincit Dynamis placed third on 69.340 per cent and two-time German Professional Riders Champion Bianca Kasselmann and Weltclassiker placed fourth with 69.064 per cent.

Fabienne, a 23 year-old college student making her debut at the Derby, along with the other top finshers move on to the horse swap competition Sunday.
