Ulrich Kasselmann’s redevelopment of historic Gut Osthoff, near Hagen, Germany, as a horsesport breeding operation is moving closer to completion.

The 60-hectare (148 acres) was bought in early 2011.

About 70 horses–breeding mares and foals, youngsters up to three years old and retired horses–are living on the property and that number should increase to about 200 by the end of the year. After being broken in, the horses will move to Hof Kasselmann for their further training.

Horse Competence Center of Germany, focusing on research and study of equestrian sport, also operates from the property.
