WELINGTON, Florida, MAR. 23–The grand finale of Dressage Under the Stars will be held Wednesday night at the Players Club with winners from the 2011 series.
Chris Von Martels, Jim Kofford, Marcia Kulak, Dottie Morkis, and Emily Kannenstine will perform musical freestyles for a chance to earn the winner take all cash prize of $2,500 presented by Carol Cohen’s Two Swans Farm, The Dutta Corporation and Phelps Media Group.
Canada’s Chris Von Martels won the first week; Jim Kofford is a former event rider from Raleigh, North Carolina, Dottie Morkis is a multi Olympian with team bronze from the 1976 Games, while Marcia Kulak of Scotia, New York, won during the all eventers week while Emily Kannenstine won the last regular season event showcasing a quadrille demonstration with riders from Sons of the Winds Farm.
This finale judges include Ashley Holzer, one of Canada’s most successful international riders, and Kelly Klein, a photographer and author who been involved in the hunter jumper industry as a competitive amateur show-jumper for many years.
