Denmark’s Carina Cassøe Krüth and Heiline’s Danciera and Finland’s Henri Ruoste and Kontestro DB have shot up the world rankings based on results from coronavirus-impacted competition schedule last month.

The latest International Equestrian Federation (FEI) rankings posted Monday saw Carina and the nine-year-old Danish Warmblood mare jump to 38th in the world from 209th at the end of September as a result of fourth place in the Grand Prix Freestyle and fifth in the Grand Prix at the World Cup event in Denmark.

The pair’s first international competition was in the World Young Horse Championships in 2016 and the first Big Tour event in September last year that produced an initial ranking of 554 in the world.

The latest ranking of No. 38 puts the duo fifth among Danish combinations–Cathrine Dufour on Bohemian sixth in the world and on Cassidy in seventh with Daniel Bachmann Andersen on the Blue Hors mounts Zack and Don Olymbrio at Nos. 10 and 14, respectively. Daniel no longer rides for Blue Hors but the start of the rankings period on which the eight best scores count was frozen at March 2019 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Henri Ruoste and Kontestro, a 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, climbed to No. 48 from 122nd over the month based on first place results at the Oldenburg, Germany CDI4* last weekend.

The combination began international Grand Prix in February this year that gave them their first ranking of 562.

The latest standings put the pair at the top of Finnish combinations with Henri and Rossetti in second.

German superstar Isabell Werth on Bella Rose remained at No. 1 and on Weihegold OLD at No. 2 with team mates Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on TSF Dalera BB third and Dorothee Schneider on Showtime fourth.
