WAYNE, Illinois, Aug. 22, 2020–Christopher Hickey rode the eight-year-old Stenagers Wyatt Earp to the United States Developing Prix St. Georges championship Saturday, winning both the final and the opening competitions.

Chris of Edgemoor, South Carolina and the Danish Warmblood stallion (Wilkens x Sandro Hit) scored 71.958% for the victory.

Jennifer Wetterau of Costa Mesa, California on Hartog were reserve champions, placing fourth on 70.042% but combined with the first round second place result enough to stay in second overall.

Chris Hickey, 52, won both team and individual golds at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro when the continental championship was all Small Tour.

Jennifer Schrader-Williams of Roy, Washington and Millione, 17-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, won the Grand Prix Special on 69.489%.

Jennifer and Millione moved to the top of the standings after Alice Tarjan, who had been leading after the Grand Prix, was eliminated when her Candescent was found to have blood in the mouth.

The freestyle to decide the championship will be staged Sunday.
