WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 9, 2020–Susan Dutta qualified Don Design DC for the Lövsta Future Challenge developing Grand Prix final with a qualifying competition victory at the Global Dressage Festival Sunday.

Susan of Wellington, Florida and the 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Der Designer x Sir Donnerhall) were awarded 69.411% in the national Intermediate II competition, the third week of the series leading to the Global circuit-ending final.

Susan and Tim Dutta bought Don Design five years ago.

“He was a bit naughty as a young horse and bucked a lot of people off–not me.” Susan said. “He is fresh and he is full of himself, but he likes me, which is really lucky.”

Susan competed the horse at Grand Prix in Germany last year. “It was just too early,” she said, “so I took my time this season to get him to relax and listen to me.”

She plans to show Don Design at international level again later this month.

Lövsta, the Swedish-based entity extended its support to a local charity beyond being a major sponsor of the 2020 Global circuit.

Lövsta’s Antonio Ax:son Johnson announced that for every entry in the Future Challenge series $250 will be donated to Friends of Palm Beach, a non-profit group that clean the beaches of Palm Beach of trash.
