BALVE, Germany, June 9, 2018–The German Nations Cup squad for the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany was announced Saturday that is the second main focus for selection of the team for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina in September.
The team for Aachen July 13-22 will be:
Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, 32 years old, on TSF Dalera BB, 11-year-old Trakehner mare owned by Beatrice A. Bürchler-Keller;
Sönke Rothenberger, 23, on Cosmo, 11-year-old KWPN gelding owned by Rothenberger im gestüt Erlenhof GmbH & Ralph Uwe Westhoff;
Dorothee Schneider, 49, on Sammy Davis Jr., 12-year-old German Sport Horse gelding owned by Matthias Herbert, and
Isabell Werth, 48, on Weihegold OLD, 13-year-old Oldenburg mare owned by Christine Arns-Krogmann.
The German Olympic Committee for Riding also announced that Jessica von Bredow-Werndl’s Dalera and Dorothee Schneider’s Faustus, 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding, were joining the Olympic squad of elite combinations. Other members of the Olympic squad aside from the team for Aachen are Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with Unée BB and Zaire-E, Kristina Bröring-Sprehe with Desperados FRH, Helen Langehanenberg with Damsey FRH, Dorothee Schneider with Showtime FRH and Isabell Werth with Don Johnson FRH and Emilio.
Ingrid Klimke with Franziskus and Benjamin Werndl with Daily Mirror were named to the perspective cadre that also includes Anabel Balkenhol with Heuberger TSF, Fabienne Lütkemeier with D’Agostino FRH and Fabregaz and Hubertus Schmidt with Imperio.
