SÃO PAULO, Brazil, Oct. 6, 2017–Giovana Pass and Zingaro de Lyw won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday for the third victory in three starts since competing for Brazil at last year’s Olympics at home.

Giovana and the 12-year-old Lusitano stallion scored 67.120 per cent in their quest to qualify for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina next September. Giovana, now 19 years old, was the youngest rider on the Rio Games team in 2016.

Leandro Silva and Dicaprio, 2015 Pan American Games team bronze medal pair at small tour, placed second on 66.120 per cent with veteran Pia Aragão on Zeppelin Interagro in third on 64.780 per cent.
