ERMELO, Netherlands, July 30, 2016–The two American-owned six-year-old horses fell short of qualifying for the World Young Horse Championships final through the “small” final Saturday following the preliminary class a day earlier.

David Wightman of Murrieta, California and Silberpfeil (Silberschmied x Boss) and Endel Ots of Wellington, Florida on Lucky Strike (Lord Laurie x His Highness) finished tied for 12th place on 75.600 per cent. The top three in the “small” final of 27 starting combinations advanced to the championship scheduled for Sunday.

David and Silberpfeil scored 7.2 for trot, 7.6 for walk, 7.7 for canter, 7.7 for submission and 7.6 for general impression while Endel and Lucky Strike were awarded 7.5 for trot, 7.3 for walk, 7.7 for canter, 7.7 for submission and 7.6. for general impression. Both horses are Hanoverian geldings.

In the preliminary test, Endel and Lucky Strike placed 24th on 74.40 and David and Silberpfeil 35th on 67.20.
