LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Dec. 15, 2015–Legolas was named Adequan/U.S. Dressage Federation Grand Prix Horse of the Year for the third year in a row.

Legolas, 13-year-old Westfalen gelding, is ridden by Steffen Peters of San Diego, California and owned by Akiko Yamazaki’s Four Winds Farm.

Legolas and Steffen led the United States team to the Pan American Games gold medal and earned a start for the nation at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro next year.
