WELLINGTON, Florida, Dec. 10, 2015–Charlotte Jorst has added Stanford, a 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding, to her string of international level Big Tour horses that includes Akeem Foldager, the Danish championship team mount, and Kastel’s Nintendo.
Stanford (Sir Donnerhall x Roadster) will arrive early in the New Year at Wellington where Charlotte is based for the Adequan Global Dressage Festival.
The horse was bought from Patrik Kittel, the Swedish Olympian who is based in Germany.
Stanford was recently moved up to Grand Prix competing in two national shows in Germany, winning a Freestyle with better than 77 per cent. The horse was shown at CDI Small Tour in 2014 by Norway’s Isabel Bache.
Charlotte lives in Reno, Nevada but competes as an adult amateur extensively in California and Florida as well as in Europe.
She is competing her Kastel’s Nintendo at the United States Grand Prix Championship this week.
She bought Akeem, that Andreas Helgstrand rode for Denmark on the Danish team at the 2013 European Championships, early this year and plans to compete the horse at Global beginning next month in Wellington. She has also logged Small Tour success with Adventure and recently acquired Ray Dance, a six-year-old.
The Danish-born Charlotte created with her husband a designer watch company they sold for close to a quarter billion dollars and she has since launched a sportswear company.
