WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 13, 2015–Sagacious HF was ridden by the USA’s Chase Hickok to victory in the CDI Under-25 Grand Prix Friday, the pair’s 10th straight international win and the 70th time down the centerline at Grand Prix level in international and national competitions.

Chase, 12 days away from her 25th birthday, and the 17-year-old KWPN black gelding scored 69.767 per cent for the latest victory in a string of 10 wins that began at Intermediate II at the Adequan Global Dressage Festuval in the Under-25 event sponsored by Diamante Farm in early January.

Sagacious, owned by Hyperion Farm, has been ridden by three Americans in his international career, with team gold and individual silver at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro with longtime trainer and rider Lauren Sammis of South Orange, New Jersey.

Caroline Roffman of Wellington took over the ride in late 2012 and became the first American Under-25 combination to compete at the World Equestrian Festival at Aachen, Germany in 2013 finishing second in both the Grand Prix and the Freestyle.

Chase, also based in Wellington, began riding Sagacious HF in 2014.

The pair are currently ranked No. 3 in the world in the Under-25 division and lead the United States’ Brentina Cup standings.

Sagacious was awarded Crown Predicat from the KWPN for b eing among the top 100 dressage horses in 2009 and last year finished as the top KWPN horse at Grand Prix.

In total, the horse has started 137 times.
