WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 4–Four European Junior and Young Riders and their horses flown to the United States to help promote youth competition prepared Wednesday for the first of two international events at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival.

Antonia Arl of Belgium and Equestricons Ziggy will compete at Junior level while Vivian Niemann of Germany on Don Vertino and Dutch riders Rosalie Bos on Equestricons Bonita and Dana van Lierop on Equestricons Walküre are at Young Rider level.

All four combinations are competing at this week’s Palm Beach Dressage Derby and next week in the Florida International Dressage Youth Championships at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Jochen Arl a Belgium-based horse dealer and frequent visitor to Wellington, worked with Mark Bellissimo of Equestrian Sport Productions and Thomas Baur, AGDF Sport Director, to bring to reality his idea of flying in the European youth riders for the first time.

“We are excited to continue giving equestrian athletes from around the world the opportunity to come to Wellington to compete,” said Mark, CEO of ESP. “As AGDF continues to grow, it is important that riders of all ages are given the chance to compete here at Global. This is where the elite riders are competing, and young riders deserve a chance to experience that too.”
