TORONTO, Nov. 3, 2014–“A Royal Canadian Evening” of entertainment and live auction to raise funds for dressage has been set for Casa Loma in the heart of Toronto for Thursday, Nov. 6.

Hosted by comedian Neil Aitchison with Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield as keynote speaker, the black-tie affair is offering an array of items for its live auction but also open to advance bidding at cdaap.vonality.com/.

Among the items is Bojidar, an elegant dark bay filly born in 2013, sired by Belissimo M out of a Sandro Hit dam.

Six-time Canadian Olympian Christilot Boylen has offered a package to be customized for the winning bidder, that could include riding a horse, stable evaluation or a corporate speaking engagement. The winning bidder will also receive Boylen’s gold medal from the 1971 Pan American Games as a memento.

Former Toronto Argonauts long snapper and current Saskatchewan Roughrider, Chad Rempel, is offering a similar package, customized specifically for the winning bidder with choices including a training day and lunch for four with Chad.

Several travel packages are available including a three-night luxury family getaway at BG Equestrian Resort in Orlando, Florida for up to six people including a personal chef, unlimited horseback riding, polo lessons and mountain biking.

A stay for one week at Earl and Countess of Bathurst’s estate in the Cotswolds, England is also offered.  The package includes a $2,000 Air Canada gift voucher to travel to England and two nights at the Hampshire Four Seasons.

A three-night getaway to the Bahamas or a two-night stay at Dalvay By The Sea on Prince Edward Island National Park are also among the several travel packages offered.
