LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Oct. 14, 2014–Jamie Link, who was Chief Executive Officer of the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, will be the new executive director of the Kentucky Horse Park that hosted the world championships of international horse sports.

Jamie, whose appointment was announced Tuesday by Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear, will take over running the 1,200-acre (485Ha) park that hosted more than a million visitors in 2010. It saw 800,000 visitors and 18,400 competition horses at 200 special events and horse shows in 2013.

Its most famous annual international show is the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event, one of the world’s most prestigious equestrian competitions.

Competition facilities include the indoor Alltech Arena and the Rolex Stadium.
