FRANFURT, Germany, Dec. 18–Switzerland’s Simona Aeberhard on Active Private Dancer won the Young Rider World Cup “B” Final Freestyle Sunday with a score of 71.25 per cent that would have placed them among the top overall.

Isabelle Liebler and Watson 108 of the United States placed second with 68.700 per cent while Italy’s Riccardio Sanavio and Lullaby were third on 68.000 per cent.

Australia’s Ashlea Day, aged 21, pulled out of the Freestyle when her hose, CP Perolus, was determined to be lame. The 14-year-old gray KWPN gelding had not traveled well to Frankfurt and performed below par in the Prix St. Georges.

The withdrawal of Ashlea, based in the United States, cut the number of starters to six. Eight combinations started in the A Final that was won by lGermany’s Sanneke Rothenberger on Deveraux OLD.
