The 14-year-old Oldenburg–Mary Cameron says she really is 12 because of time off for two years because of an ovarian cyst and food allergies.

“She’s had so many injuries in the past,” she said. I feel lucky to have such a special horse through tremendous ups and down.

“She and I have been through so much together that to do the Brentina Cup would be a dream come true.”

Mary Cameron works mostly with Werner, a Belgian who has had success in U.S. young horse championships, but also with Caroline Roffman who has competed in the Brentina Cup.
