STADL-PAURA, Austria, April 22–All three winners of the pony, junior and young rider events on Friday repeated their successes from the first day to move to the final test, the freestyle, on Saturday when the big tour starts at the Stadl-Paura CDI3* over the Easter weekend.

In the Juniors, The Netherlands’ Antoinette De Riele on Fleurie and Katalin Garrn of Germany on Debbie 46, top ranked junior riders after the first day of competition Thursday, came out on top Friday. Katalin and her black mare scored 69.04 per cent that put them in the lead until the last ride by Antoinette on Fleurie, a daughter of Florestan I, powerful, accurate and balanced. Some errors–cantered in the trot at the beginning–still enabled the pair to eke out a victory by 0.04 per cent to give them their second victory this weekend. Luxembourg’s Anne-Sophie Federspiel on Magic Tec was third on 67.76 per cent. Local favorite, high schooler Franziska Fries ignored a fever to ride her stallion Alasio’s Boy to fourth place with 67.37 per cent.
