LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Dec. 19–Ravel, the 12-year-old KWPN gelding ridden by Steffen Peters to two individual bronze medals at the World Equestrian Games, has been named the 2010 Adequan/U.S. Dressage Federation Grand Prix Horse of the Year.

The horse, owned by Akiko Yamazaki of Woodside, California, was also USDF Horse of the Year in 2009.

Ravel’s median score was 78.542 per cent.

“We are thrilled to be able to recognize this extraordinary horse for his many accomplishments this competition season, his owner Akiko Yamazaki, his rider Steffen Peters and the entire Ravel team,” the USDF said in a statement.
