KRONBERG, Germany, July 25–Charlott-Maria Schürmann ride on World of Dreams, both 17-year-old athletes, to win the gold medal at the European Championships for juniors caps a transatlantic career for the horse.

World of Dreams is now owned by German horse transport company owner Guido Klatte who acquired the Hanoverian stallion from Michelle Gibson about four years ago.

Michelle, who now lives in Wellington, Florida, had bought the horse which she nicknamed “Indy,” or “Independence” after she lost the ride on Peron after the pair won team gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.

“It is fantastic the horse has done so well,” Michelle told dressage-news.com. “I’ll be sending congratulatory messages to everyone involved.”

At Kronberg, Charlott-Maria said of World of Dreams that he “gets quite a lot of food and carrots and all that he likes.”
