LAUSANNE, Switzerland, May 27–A Development Task Force has been established by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).

FEI President Princess Haya will chair the new Task Force, whose members are Dmitry Titov, Russian Equestrian Federation President; Ho Nai Yue, Asian Equestrian Federation President; Betty Wates, Jamaican Equestrian Federation Vice President; Pablo Mayorga of Argentina and FEI Executive Board member; Kim Gueho, Mauritius Equestrian Federation Secretary General; Manoj Jalan of the Indian National Sports Development Fund, and Ludger Beerbaum of Germany as sport representative.

The Development Task Force will:
1. Evaluate the mandate for and composition of a future Development Committee;
2. Evaluate the operation of the Development Committee and supporting structures within the FEI;
3. Examine possible financial models to create a sustainable Development Program to identify solutions to best serve national federations and the sport;
4. Identify immediate operational priorities for development, including the creation of a five-year development plan.
