OTTAWA, Canada, Aug. 9–Cheryl Meisner on the 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Paganini captured the Grand Prix and Grand Freestyle at the Beaulieu International Dressage Classic (formerly Ottawa Summer Classic) World Cup event.

On Sunday, Meisner of Blandford, Nova Scotia and the John Risley-owned stallion scored 73.750 per cent to win the freestyle over the Olympian Jacqueline Brooks of Mt. Albert, Ontario and Gran Gesto on 70.960 per cent and Tina Irwin of Lakefield, Ontario and Amicello in third place with 69.700 per cent.

In the Grand Prix on Friday, Meisner and Paganini scored 68.426 per cent with Evi Strasser of St-Adele, Quebec, and Action Tyme second with 65.787 per cent and Belinda Trussel and Anton third on 65.404 per cent.

Trussel of Stouffville, Ontario and Anton took the Grand Prix Special with 66.375 per cent, Diane Creech of Caistor Centre, Ontario and Devon L placed second with 65.042 per cent and Meisner riding Tango was third with 63.750 per cent.
